At an expected RRP of just $399, the PlayStation VR will be a lot less expensive than its rivals when it is due to be available in October 2016.
The PlayStation VR is, as the name suggests a PS4 driven accessory. Not intended to be full VR headset it partly uses the PS4 camera to deliver the VR experience.
Although slightly lower in resolution than the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive there is already a good line-up of content available for its launch; an important aspect to consider for any new gaming technology and one which PlayStation does well.
